The remarkable annual performance of NCCIA in prosecuting cyber crime,demonstrating robust capability in safeguarding citizens & businesses from digital threats under the leadership of Director General syed khurram Ali (PSP)
Investigation reported 2196 major cyber crime cases including online fraud,data breaches,ransom ware attacks and cyber enabled cyber crime from which 36%case resolution rate leading to 2902 arrests, 774 successful prosecutions and five major organised cyber crime networks operating both domestically and transnationally
In Asset & financial crimes over 461million in assets of victims of cyber fraud and financial scams recovered.46056 fraudulent bank accounts and digital wallets presenting further victimisation have been frozen.
Specialised operations
Launched as “operation Brown” targeting online child exploitation netwroks resulting in 35 cases register leading to 35 arrests.
Deployment of advanced cyber intelligence platforms using AI and machine learning for pro active threats identification and
,training of over 300+ law enforcement officers from federal and state command in advanced cyber investigation techniques benefitted the purposes of NCCIA.
Public awareness and prevention campaign reaching an estimated 2 million citizens.
Thirty plus Public service advisories on emerging threats like Phishing,identity theft and cryptoscams have introduced.
Other achievements include strengthing partnership with Interpol ,hosting the regional cyber crime investigator forums fostering co operation with 5+ neighbouring nations made possible the decay of digital crimes.
