SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — In a significant stride for international legislative diplomacy, the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) was officially inaugurated in Seoul, drawing participation from parliamentary leaders worldwide. A key moment of the event was the unanimous selection of Pakistan’s Senate Chairman, Yousuf Raza Gillani, as the Founding Chairman of ISC.
In his opening address, Chairman Gillani voiced his gratitude and called for stronger inter-parliamentary collaboration to collectively tackle urgent global challenges. He presented a forward-looking agenda emphasizing regional cooperation, inclusive development, and shared values.
