On April 12, 2026, hundreds of Indian Sikh pilgrims marked their third day in Pakistan by visiting Gurdwara Sacha Sauda in Farooqabad to perform religious rituals as part of the Vaisakhi Mela and 327th Khalsa Janam Din celebrations. Following their visit, the pilgrims departed for Hasan Abdal to participate in the central Vaisakhi festivities scheduled at the historic Gurdwara Panja Sahib.
Strict Security for Vaisakhi Mela Pilgrims
The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has implemented rigorous security measures to ensure the safety of all international visitors. Additional Secretary Shrines, Nasir Mushtaq, confirmed that the board is working in close coordination with the district government to provide seamless hospitality and administrative support.
The administration has prioritized the comfort of the Sikh pilgrims, ensuring that all logistical arrangements—including transport and residency—are managed efficiently during their spiritual journey across Pakistan's sacred sites.
Central Ceremony at Gurdwara Panja Sahib
The focal point of the Vaisakhi Mela will take place on April 14 at Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Hasan Abdal. Officials have confirmed that all preparations for this grand event are now complete.
