ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Japanese Ambassador Akamatsu has signed a $53,000 grant agreement with the Moawin Foundation to establish a modern women's vocational training institute in Dulmial, Chakwal.
The initiative reflects Japan’s continued commitment to women’s empowerment and economic self-reliance in rural Pakistan through targeted skill development.
Empowering 240 Women Annually Through Skill Development
The newly funded institute will focus on providing specialized technical training, equipping local women with practical skills in sewing, tailoring, and garment production.
By building localized technical capacity, the facility aims to enable graduates to secure gainful employment or launch their own micro-enterprises.
