LAHORE: The FIA Gujranwala Zone has conducted a major operation against a human-smuggling network, arresting three key suspects involved in migrant smuggling and visa fraud. The arrested individuals have been identified as Hasnat, Babar Abdullah, and Sajid Ali. According to the FIA, the suspects were involved in extorting large sums of money from citizens under the pretense of sending them abroad.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused used fake visas, forged documents, and false promises to deceive innocent people. After taking hefty payments, the victims were neither sent abroad nor refunded their money. FIA officials stated that more arrests are expected as important information has been obtained from the detained suspects.
Authorities added that the crackdown against migrant smuggling will be further intensified. The public has been urged to stay vigilant, avoid falling into the traps of such fraudulent agents, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the FIA.
