Islamabad — A high-level delegation of PML-Q Overseas UK, led by senior party leader Dr. Shaukat Ali Sheikh, has arrived in Islamabad on an important official visit. The delegation will hold meetings with the party leadership, government representatives, and officials from various state institutions. The visit aims to strengthen the party’s organizational structure, address the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis, and discuss the future political strategy of Pakistan Muslim League (Q).
According to reports, the delegation includes Dr. Shaukat Ali Sheikh, Muhammad Shafiq, and other key office-bearers. They bring with them a comprehensive agenda containing proposals and concerns raised by the Pakistani community residing in the United Kingdom.
The delegation is expected to present recommendations to the party leadership regarding major challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis, particularly those related to consular services, business facilitation, property disputes, and investment opportunities.
While speaking during the visit, Dr. Shaukat Ali Sheikh said that PML-Q has always been the true voice of overseas Pakistanis and has consistently raised their concerns on every platform. He added that Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, is personally taking a deep interest in resolving the issues of Pakistanis living abroad and is working tirelessly for their welfare.
He further stated that Pakistanis living in the UK and across Europe maintain a strong emotional and economic connection with their homeland and continue to contribute significantly to Pakistan’s prosperity, development, and stability.
Dr. Shaukat Ali Sheikh also made an important announcement, confirming that the International Airport in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, has been officially approved, and construction work on the project will commence soon. He revealed that the development and management of the airport will be undertaken by their overseas company, Exchange Hub International.
He added that the revenue generated from this project will be dedicated to the welfare and development of the people of Pakistan and Kashmir, while the new airport will greatly ease travel for overseas Kashmiris by providing timely and improved travel facilities.
Dr. Shaukat Ali Sheikh expressed full confidence in the central leadership of PML-Q. During the visit, further meetings with officials from various government institutions are also expected, where the challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis will be discussed directly.
It is worth mentioning that the PML-Q Overseas Wing plays a vital role in strengthening the party’s identity at the global level, and this visit is being considered a significant step toward expanding and reinforcing the party’s organizational outreach.
