RAWALPINDI : Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has established a new historical milestone by enrolling over 4,500 new students for the Fall 2026 semester. Led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, the institution has seen a major surge in student confidence, reflecting significant growth in its academic and research standings.
The university’s official four-year comparative data reveals a 65.4% increase in admissions compared to 2024, when intake stood at 2,600 students. Additionally, the current intake reflects a 10% increase over the 4,100 admissions recorded in Fall 2025.

Fall 2023: Enrolled 3,000 students.
Fall 2024: Dropped by 13.3% to 2,600 students.
Fall 2025: Bounced back dramatically with a 57.7% increase, reaching 4,100 students.
Fall 2026: Crossed the historical threshold to surpass 4,500 admissions.

Congratulating the faculty, management, and admission teams, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized that the record-breaking numbers are the result of tireless collective effort. He noted that while the university remains a leader in conventional agriculture and livestock, it has successfully expanded into modern, high-demand fields.
Students are enrolling in record numbers across Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Engineering, Social & Natural Sciences, and Management Sciences, demonstrating trust in the institution’s modern educational environment.
