LAHORE — Pakistan Railways has announced the restoration of the popular Babu Passenger train (205Up/206Dn) operating between Lahore and Lalamusa starting tomorrow, August 20, 2026. The decision aims to provide affordable and convenient daily transit for thousands of passengers traveling across major Punjab hubs.

Babu Passenger Train Timetable and Route

According to official railway sources, the restored passenger service will operate on the following daily schedule:

• 205Up (Lahore to Lalamusa): Departs Lahore Railway Station daily at 4:40 PM, traveling via Gujranwala, Wazirabad, and Gujrat before arriving in Lalamusa at 7:45 PM.

• 206Dn (Lalamusa to Lahore): Departs Lalamusa daily at 5:10 AM and reaches Lahore Railway Station at 8:15 AM.

Train Composition and Capacity

To accommodate daily traffic and ensure commuter comfort, railway authorities have finalized the train's infrastructure setup.

The service will run with five Economy Class coaches and one power van. This layout is tailored to support working professionals, students, and daily commuters seeking cost-effective, reliable travel along the busy rail corridor.
