MANILA, Philippines — The Embassy of Pakistan in the Philippines warmly welcomed the Pakistan Padel Tennis Team to Manila ahead of the highly anticipated Asia Pacific Padel Cup (APPC) 2026. The elite regional tournament runs from June 25 to 28, bringing together top athletes from across the Asia-Pacific region.
A Diplomatic Reception for Elite Athletes
Her Excellency Dr. Asima Rabbani, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Philippines, hosted a special dinner at the diplomatic residence to honor the arriving contingent. During the reception, the Ambassador extended her warmest best wishes to the players and coaching staff, encouraging them to fly the national flag high during the four-day competitive event.
The event highlights Pakistan's growing presence in international racket sports and emphasizes the crucial role of sports diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Philippines.

The tournament takes place at the state-of-the-art Play Padel McKinley facility in Taguig, Metro Manila. The Pakistani squad faces fierce competition in Group A, squaring off against strong regional contenders including South Korea, Thailand, and traditional rivals India.
