In a vibrant display of the "Iron Brother" bond, a grand exchange event was held at the UNI International-China Pakistan Deep Love Cultural Exploration Center in Islamabad to commemorate the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan friendship. The ceremony, which took place on May 4, 2026, brought together high-ranking officials and cultural activists to review diplomatic milestones and strengthen bilateral ties.
Distinguished Leadership and Diplomatic Review
The event featured Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf as the Chief Guest, who shared moving stories regarding the evolution of China-Pakistan friendship. He was joined by Wang Lei, Director of CGTN Urdu, and key leadership from China State Construction Engineering Corp (CSCEC), including Chairman Wang Yaodong and Vice Chairman Liu Yanming.
The proceedings began with the national anthems of both nations, followed by the unveiling of a commemorative Chinese calligraphy board inscribed with the message: "Long Live the China-Pakistan Friendship." A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony further cemented the celebratory spirit of the 75-year milestone.
Milestones in Infrastructure and Cooperation
A core segment of the event focused on the tangible successes of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and broader infrastructure development. The CSCEC Pakistan team highlighted several landmark projects completed over the last two decades, including:
The PKM Motorway: A vital artery for regional trade and connectivity.
Islamabad International Airport: A modern gateway reflecting technical collaboration.
The Centaurus Projects: Iconic developments in the heart of the capital.
Cultural Exploration and Youth Engagement
To promote people-to-people exchanges, students from the Apex Education System, led by Principal Fahad Ahmed Khan, participated in an immersive tour of the Cultural Exploration Center. A significant highlight was the Chinese intangible cultural heritage paper-cutting experience, which allowed attendees to engage directly with traditional Chinese artistry.
The event, organized jointly by CSCEC Pakistan, UNI International, and the All Pakistan China Friendship Association, concluded with a high tea session. This gathering not only consolidated the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership but also paved the way for future collaborative ventures in culture and technology.
