ISLAMABAD – On the morning of Wednesday, April 22, officials from Pakistan Customs intercepted a passenger arriving from the UAE for attempting to smuggle prohibited goods. During a routine inspection, the traveler was found in possession of two kilograms of sheesha flavors, a substance strictly banned from import into Pakistan due to its detrimental effects on public health.
Confrontation and Enforcement at the Terminal
Upon being informed that the goods would be confiscated, the passenger reportedly became agitated and used abusive language toward the on-duty officers. Interestingly, the incident was captured on video by the passenger himself. Despite the verbal provocation, Customs staff remained calm and professional, firmly upholding the law to ensure the banned items were successfully detained.

The seizure highlights the government's ongoing crackdown on health-injurious substances. According to official estimates:
