Ishaq Dar Arrives in Kabul on Official Visit for Bilateral Talks

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrives in Kabul on a one-day visit, welcomed by senior Afghan officials, as both nations aim to strengthen ties through talks on trade, security, and regional cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Kabul on a one-day official visit. He was received at the airport by senior Afghan government officials, including Minister for Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammad Naeem Wardak, Director General Mufti Noor Ahmad, and Chief of State Protocol Faisal Jalali.

Pakistan’s Head of Mission in Afghanistan, Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, along with other diplomatic officers, was also present to welcome him. The Deputy Prime Minister is accompanied by a delegation comprising the Secretaries of Interior and Railways, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

During this significant visit, Ishaq Dar is scheduled to meet key members of the interim Afghan government. He will hold talks with Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, and Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Discussions will focus on important issues including trade, security, and people-to-people connections. This marks Ishaq Dar’s first visit to Afghanistan since assuming the role of Foreign Minister.
