BEIJING: Speaking at the second China–Central Asia Summit, President Xi Jinping reaffirmed China’s commitment to global cooperation rooted in fairness, mutual benefit, and peaceful development.
Highlighting the importance of justice and collective progress, President Xi stated,
“Only by upholding fairness, justice, and win-win cooperation can we ensure lasting peace and shared development across the world.”
He cautioned against economic isolationism, asserting that tariff and trade wars have no winners, and that unilateralism, protectionism, and hegemonic behavior ultimately harm all parties, including their initiators.
Reinforcing China’s support for Central Asian nations, Xi emphasized the need for greater regional representation in global governance. He expressed Beijing’s readiness to collaborate with all partners to uphold international justice, resist hegemonism and power politics, and promote an equitable multipolar world.
President Xi also called for inclusive globalization, underscoring the importance of building an economic system that benefits all nations fairly and sustainably.
The summit served as a platform for enhancing strategic ties between China and Central Asian countries, amid shifting global dynamics and growing calls for balanced international engagement.
