Nader Khamis Hafez Alturk, Deputy Head of Mission at the Palestinian Embassy in Pakistan, received the prestigious Global Ambassador Award 2024 for his exceptional contributions to strengthening Palestinian-Pakistani relations. The award was presented by The Diplomatic Insight during the 6th Global Ambassador Awards Ceremony held in Islamabad, attended by ambassadors, diplomats, parliamentarians, and other dignitaries.
Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, served as the chief guest. The Chairperson of the Diplomatic Insight Group highlighted the importance of global diplomacy and collaboration.
Born in Gaza City, Alturk has been a steadfast advocate for the Palestinian cause. With advanced studies in international law and political science, he previously served in Beijing, where he contributed to China’s recognition of Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital. Since 2014, Alturk has worked in Pakistan to deepen bilateral ties, strengthen cultural and educational exchanges, and raise awareness about Palestine’s struggle.
Among his notable achievements is organizing a Palestinian pavilion at Lok Mela, showcasing cultural connections between the two nations.
Alturk’s initiatives include supporting Palestinian students in Pakistan and fostering collaboration between the two countries in media, civil society, and research.
