Pakistan’s Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Leads Delegation to Tehran for President-Elect Masoud Pezeshkian’s Oath-Taking Ceremony

Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, arrived in Tehran today at the head of a delegation to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.

 

Initially, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, was scheduled to attend the ceremony. However, due to health reasons, the visit had to be rescheduled, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stepped in to lead the delegation.

 

According to the press note, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had recently attended the funeral ceremony of the late President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions in Tehran a couple of weeks ago.

The Embassy of Iran extends its prayers and best wishes for the speedy recovery and good health of the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan.
