Two Female Teachers Fatally Shot in Charsadda

PESHAWAR, PAKISTAN — Two female teachers were shot dead by unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle in the Prang area of Charsadda on Thursday, police confirmed.

 

The attack took place near Darul Uloom, within the jurisdiction of Prang Police Station. According to officials, the teachers — both employed at a local primary school — were on their way to work when the armed attackers opened fire on them.

 

 

One of the women died at the scene, while the other, who was critically wounded, later succumbed to her injuries at a nearby hospital.

 

 

Authorities identified the victims as Sadaraat, daughter of Swab Gul and resident of Prang Safar Khel, and Nadia Begum, wife of Azam Jan. Both were serving at Government Girls High School Shah Pasand Kalay.

 

 

Police have launched an investigation, while the motive behind the attack remains unclear.
