Beijing / Islamabad – IRNA: During a bilateral meeting with Iran’s Defense Minister on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Defence Ministers’ meeting in China, Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif strongly condemned the illegal and illegitimate attacks carried out by the Zionist regime on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Khawaja Asif expressed deep concern over the growing instability caused by unprovoked military operations across the region. He criticized Israel’s recent actions against Iran, labeling them as unlawful and dangerous escalations that threaten regional peace.

Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support for the principles of the SCO, the Minister highlighted the need for collective security, coordinated counterterrorism strategies, and enhanced regional cooperation. He emphasized that sustainable peace in the region can only be achieved through dialogue, mediation, and preventive diplomacy.
