US media reports claim that Iran has accepted a two-week ceasefire proposal put forward by Pakistan, with the truce reportedly approved by the country’s newly appointed supreme leadership.
According to Iranian media, the United States has agreed to Tehran’s conditions to end the conflict. President Donald Trump has also announced a two-week ceasefire period, signaling a possible breakthrough in ongoing tensions.
Iranian news agencies state that further details of the ceasefire will be announced soon, noting that the temporary truce has been established under specific conditions.
Reports suggest that President Trump indicated a final agreement could be reached within the two-week window, while Iranian officials are expected to release additional information in the coming hours.
Iranian state television reported that, through Pakistan, a 10-point proposal was conveyed to the United States. Negotiations to finalize the details are expected to take place in Islamabad.
Iranian officials say talks are scheduled to begin on Friday, April 10, with the possibility of an extension if both sides reach a mutual understanding.
The discussions aim to politically formalize Iran’s claimed gains on the battlefield within a maximum period of 15 days.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has also accepted the ceasefire request made by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, further reinforcing diplomatic efforts toward de-escalation.
