ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — The Turkish Embassy in Islamabad hosted Pakistan’s champion youth taekwondo athletes today to launch a new sports diplomacy initiative aimed at cross-border athletic development. The historic meeting, held at the diplomatic enclave, officially outlines plans to send Pakistan's top martial artists to elite joint training camps alongside their Turkish counterparts.
The primary objective of the gathering is to fulfill the ultimate development goal of these competitive youth fighters: high-performance training with Turkey's national youth sports programs.
Strengthening Pakistan-Turkey Sports Diplomacy
The initiative is moving forward rapidly with direct ministerial oversight from both nations. The proposed training camps are currently being coordinated with the active support of Turkey’s Ministry of Youth and Sports (Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı) and the Turkish Taekwondo Federation (Türkiye Taekwondo Federasyonu).
