K-WAVE Festa 2026: Korean Embassy Announces Rescheduled Date for Cultural Celebration in Islamabad
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has officially announced the new date for the highly anticipated K-WAVE Festa, now set for Saturday, May 2, 2026. Originally postponed, the vibrant celebration will take place at the SBC Lawn, Serena Hotel, Islamabad, starting from 3:00 PM. This grand event aims to bring the "Spirit of Korea" to Pakistan, offering a full day of entertainment, food, and music with free admission for all attendees.
"All About Korea": A Public Showcase of Heritage and Innovation
From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the festival will feature the "All About Korea" exhibition, which is open to the public without any pre-registration requirements. Visitors can explore various promotional booths hosted by global industry leaders such as Samsung and Lotte Kolson, alongside developmental organizations like KOICA and HRD Korea.
The cultural experience zone will offer:
Traditional Crafts: Hands-on Najeon DIY (mother-of-pearl) workshops.
Hanbok Experience: A chance for visitors to try on traditional Korean attire.
Language & Tourism: Introductory Korean sessions by the King Sejong Institute and tourism showcases.
K-Beauty Master Class and Influencer Showcase
The festival will highlight Korea's massive influence on global aesthetics with a K-Beauty Master Class held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. While this is an exclusive PR session designed for influencers, the Embassy is ensuring total inclusivity.
The session—featuring personal color quick tests and K-idol makeup styling—will be broadcast live on the venue’s large SMD screens. Additionally, fans can tune in virtually via Instagram Live and the Embassy’s official YouTube channel.
The K-POP Festival: National Preliminary Round
The energy will peak during the K-POP Festival National Preliminary Round, scheduled from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This public event features high-stakes performances from local talent:
Vocal & Dance: Seven teams in total will compete across vocal and dance categories.
Guest Performance: A special opening stage by Faryal Amber of Pakistan Idol.
Champions Stage: A guest performance by the winning team from the 2025 competition.
