RIYADH — The Chiefs of Defense Forces and Chiefs of General Staff of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye met in Riyadh on Friday under the framework of the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement, reaffirming their commitment to collective defense and closer military cooperation.

The military leaders reviewed the security situation and threats facing Saudi Arabia and strongly condemned attacks targeting the Holy City of Makkah as well as civilian and economic infrastructure in the Kingdom. They also commended the vigilance and professionalism of the Saudi Armed Forces in protecting the Kingdom and its people.

The participants discussed measures to deepen cooperation among the three countries’ armed forces, including greater intelligence sharing, military coordination and integration of defense capabilities to strengthen deterrence and collective defense.

They highlighted the longstanding relations and mutual trust between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye, saying the Riyadh meeting reflected the strength of their defense partnership and their determination to translate the Makkah agreement into practical military cooperation.
