ISLAMABAD — The Embassy of Romania in Pakistan is proudly celebrating the first anniversary of a historic cultural milestone: the launch of the first-ever opera course in Pakistan’s history. This pioneering initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), has officially completed its inaugural year of fostering classical vocal talent in the capital.
Launched in April 2025, the program has become a cornerstone of cultural diplomacy, introducing the intricate art of opera to a new generation of Pakistani performers. The courses are held twice weekly, every Wednesday and Friday, providing consistent professional training in a genre previously unexplored in the local academic circuit.
