By Abid Siddique Chaudhry TWA ━━━━━ ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — Pakistan's Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani engaged in a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian. Their discussions encompassed bilateral matters and the prevailing regional situation.   Expressing deep concern, Foreign Minister Jilani addressed the dire situation in Occupied Palestine, specifically in Gaza. He stressed the immediate need for a ceasefire, the lifting of the siege, continuous humanitarian aid—including medical supplies—to Gaza's residents, and the resumption of diplomatic initiatives for enduring peace in the Middle East, centered on a just resolution to the Palestinian question.   Foreign Minister Jilani vehemently condemned the terrorist attack in Southeastern Iran on December 15, resulting in the loss of several Iranian security personnel. He reiterated Pakistan's unwavering commitment to collaborating closely with Iran to counter the threat of terrorism, recognizing it as a shared challenge to regional peace and security.   Both Foreign Ministers affirmed their dedication to strengthening the historic and cultural ties between Pakistan and Iran, committing to an increased exchange of high-level visits to foster their brotherly relationship.
