The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is bringing the global cultural phenomenon to Pakistan with the K-WAVE Festa on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This vibrant celebration will be held at the SBC Lawn, Serena Hotel, Islamabad, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, offering a full day of immersive entertainment and traditional experiences.
The event is designed to be accessible to all, featuring no admission fee and no pre-registration requirement for the public segments. Attendees can expect a high-energy atmosphere showcasing the best of Korean music, beauty, and heritage.
Explore "All About Korea": Cultural Stalls and Tech
From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, visitors can explore the “All About Korea” zone. This area features promotional booths from global giants like Samsung and Lotte Kolson, alongside development and cultural agencies such as KOICA, KOPIA, and HRD Korea.
The King Sejong Institute will lead interactive programs including:
Introductory Korean language sessions for beginners.
Traditional crafts, including Najeon DIY (mother-of-pearl) workshops.
The popular Hanbok experience, where guests can try on traditional Korean attire.
K-Beauty Master Class and Digital Showcases
For skincare and makeup enthusiasts, a K-Beauty Master Class will run from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. While this is an exclusive session for influencers, the embassy is ensuring digital accessibility for all fans.
The session—which includes personal color tests and K-idol makeup styling—will be broadcast live on the venue’s SMD screens. It will also be streamed via Instagram Live and the Embassy’s YouTube channel, allowing virtual participation from across the country.
K-POP Festival: National Preliminary Round
The evening concludes with the highly anticipated K-POP Festival National Preliminary Round from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This high-stakes competition serves as a gateway for local talent to showcase their skills on a grander stage.
The festival will be divided into two main segments:
Vocal Performances: Three elite teams competing for the top spot.
Dance Performances: Four high-energy teams performing hit K-pop choreography.
The ceremony will kick off with a special performance by Faryal Amber, the renowned singer from Pakistan Idol, and will also feature a guest appearance by the 2025 K-Pop competition winning team.
