Officials from Azerbaijan have expressed appreciation to Pakistan following a telephone conversation between senior leaders of the two countries.
According to an official statement, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, held a telephone conversation with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. During the call, the Azerbaijani side expressed sincere gratitude to the Pakistani Senate Chairman for conveying concern over the reported drone attacks on Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Azerbaijan also thanked Gillani for condemning the actions attributed to Iran, noting that the gesture once again reflected the strong brotherly relations and longstanding partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
Officials emphasized that the communication between the two parliamentary leaders highlighted the close diplomatic coordination and mutual support that continues to characterize relations between the two friendly nations.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan have historically maintained strong political, diplomatic, and strategic ties, often expressing solidarity with each other on regional and international issues.
