K-Pop Fever Returns: Korean Embassy Announces 2025 K-Pop World Festival Preliminary Round in Islamabad

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has officially announced the 2025 Regional Preliminary Round of the globally celebrated “Changwon K-Pop World Festival,” set to take place on June 13, 2024, at 6:30 PM at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad.

 

Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, and KBS (Korean Public Service Media), the festival is recognized as the world’s largest K-pop event, drawing talented performers from across the globe.

 

This year in 2025, the Korean Embassy in Pakistan is on a mission to identify and spotlight outstanding Pakistani performers with a flair for K-pop. Contestants will compete in two categories—vocal cover or dance cover—with the top performers earning the unique opportunity to audition for the grand finale in Korea. Performances from the Islamabad round will be submitted directly to the festival’s headquarters in Korea for consideration.

Eligibility: Non-Korean nationals who can perform K-pop vocal or dance covers

Online Video Submission: April 15 – May 2, 2024

Preliminary Online Judging: May 5 – May 9, 2024

Shortlisted Announcement: May 12, 2024 (individual notification)

 

Aspiring K-pop enthusiasts are encouraged to submit their performance videos through the official application link or via the QR code available on the event poster:
