Vice Chancellor of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL), Prof. Dr. Syed Hussain Mehdi, met with the Chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, during a visit to the HEC Regional Centre in Karachi.
The meeting focused on the broader landscape of higher education in Pakistan, with a detailed discussion on policy reforms, sectoral challenges, and institutional capacity-building. The Vice Chancellor briefed the Chairman on the recent academic, research, and development initiatives undertaken by BBSUL.
Chairman HEC praised the progress and vision of BBSUL under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mehdi and assured full cooperation and support from the Commission for the university’s ongoing and future projects. He also reiterated HEC’s commitment to promoting quality education, innovation, and access across higher education institutions in the country.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to further strengthen collaboration for academic excellence and BBSUL growth.
