The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates calls on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by taking action to stop the war of extermination and displacement against our people immediately and to exercise its powers to reach a prisoner and hostage exchange deal, and to take the necessary decisions and measures to ensure the return of the Gaza Strip to the embrace of the Palestinian state and its legitimate institutions.

The Ministry warns of the dangers of any proposed plans that aim to consolidate the separation between the two wings of the Palestinian homeland to undermine the opportunity to embody the Palestinian state on the ground, and stresses that Netanyahu does not have the authority and qualification to place a “veto” on the management of the Palestinian state institutions in the Gaza Strip and that he should not be allowed to do so, especially since the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian State, says press note.

The Ministry stresses that the internationally recognized Palestinian legitimacy is the only gateway capable of resolving the crisis, saving our people, and enabling them to achieve their freedom and national independence, and calls on countries that claim to be keen on the two-state solution to respect its decisions and directions and implement them in a way that embodies the two-state solution on the ground and achieves security and stability for all parties.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its embassies and missions continue their efforts at all levels to mobilize the broadest international pressure front to achieve this position committed to international legitimacy and its resolutions.
