The death toll from a devastating earthquake in China has tragically climbed to 111. Gangsu and Qinhai, two northwestern provinces, bore the brunt of the disaster, leaving over 200 people injured. The toll is anticipated to increase as rescue and relief operations continue.

 

The earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.1 and a depth of 35 km, struck 102 km southwest of Lanzhou, as reported by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center. On Tuesday, the state news agency confirmed at least 100 casualties in the border town of Gangsu province, with additional fatalities recorded in Qinhai.
