Dr. Shaukat Ali, General Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) UK, addressed journalists in an emergency meeting regarding recent events in Balochistan. He emphasized the critical importance of national security and the need for unity among the country’s institutions to maintain peace and order.
Dr. Ali asserted that passing the relevant bill in Parliament is crucial for the country’s security. “Our nation’s survival depends on it,” he warned, highlighting the precarious position of Pakistan with fewer allies and more adversaries.
In his remarks to guests and journalists, Dr. Ali urged citizens to support the Pakistani Army, which he described as the guardian of national honor and freedom. “Every patriotic Pakistani must stand united with the army to ensure our country’s safety,” he said, stressing that instability is unacceptable.
Dr. Ali also noted that recent actions by democratic Britain against terrorist groups serve as a model, with offenders being sentenced up to 10 years. He praised Britain for its commitment to democratic values and equality, contrasting it with Pakistan’s current state.
In conclusion, Dr. Ali reflected on the democratic principles introduced by Islam and lamented Pakistan’s divergence from these values. The emergency meeting also included remarks from key figures such as Muhammad Shafiq, President of Pakistan Muslim League Overseas Birmingham; Shehzad Khan, Youth Wing President of Muslim League Overseas Birmingham; and Muhammad Saeem Ali, Secretary Youth Wing Pakistan Muslim League Overseas Birmingham, among others.
