The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the approval by the so-called Foreign Affairs and Security Committee in the Israeli Knesset of a law targeting UNRWA, disrupting its work for Palestinian refugees and removing it from the service it performs by a binding international resolution.
The Ministry considers this project a blatant attack on the United Nations and its agencies and falls within the framework of the occupation’s war on our people and their rights, especially the right of return of refugees in accordance with Resolution 194. It is also an extension of the crimes and violations committed by the occupying state against UNRWA, its institutions, individuals and schools, says press note.
The Ministry calls for urgent international intervention to stop the enactment of this law and to stop its implementation.
