September 25, 2025 — A major shift in the global economy is being discussed as BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) move toward launching a joint currency aimed at reducing the dominance of the U.S. dollar in international trade.

According to reports, the BRICS bloc is considering transitioning trade settlements from the dollar to a possible “BRICS currency.” This move could reshape international markets and create new opportunities for developing economies.

Experts suggest that if successfully introduced, the BRICS currency could pose a serious challenge to the dollar’s supremacy in global trade. However, analysts also caution that it will not be easy to immediately replace the U.S. dollar, which has held its dominant position for decades.

Business communities and the general public are raising the critical question:
Will the BRICS currency truly replace the dollar, or will it only bring a partial shift in the global financial balance?
