The 23rd conference of the nine provinces of Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand concluded in Sakon Nakhon, focusing on the collaborative usage of Road 8 and Road 12.
According to VNA reports, Representatives from central provinces of Vietnam – Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Quang Binh; Thai provinces – Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Nong Khai; and Laotian provinces – Bolikhamxay, Khammouane convened to review 2023’s cooperation and outline future directions.
Highlighting the significance of the event, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen, Chu Duc Dung, emphasized the proactive efforts to enhance cooperation with northeastern Thai provinces, particularly those with overseas Vietnamese communities and bordering Laos. The collaboration spans trade, investment, tourism, culture, education, and healthcare along the pivotal routes of Road 8, Road 9, and Road 12.
The conference, attended by representatives of numerous businesses from the three countries, showcased a commitment to fostering development in the participating provinces. The focus remains on creating a comprehensive cooperation mechanism that propels regional growth, emphasizing the interconnectedness of economies and communities along these vital road networks.
