Nairobi Kenya: The High Commission of Pakistan has officially inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the World Health Expo Nairobi 2026, marking a strategic expansion of Pakistani healthcare exports into the East African market.
Organized by the Trade Wing of the High Commission in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the initiative brings leading export sectors together under a unified national showcase in Kenya.
The delegation includes nine prominent Pakistani companies representing high-value sectors such as pharmaceuticals, surgical instruments, medical manufacturing, and health & wellness.
Driving B2B Partnerships and Regulatory Approvals
To ensure tangible commercial outcomes, the diplomatic mission is organizing targeted B2B networking sessions for Pakistani exporters with East African buyers, distributors, and hospital networks.
Crucially, the High Commission is actively assisting participating firms through the complex regulatory framework of the region:
PPB Registration: Facilitating product registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya (PPB).
Surgical & Pharma Links: Opening direct trade avenues for surgical tools and generic medicines.
Market Entry Support: Streamlining compliance to reduce market entry barriers across East Africa.
Strengthening Pakistan-Kenya Commercial Ties
The initiative forms part of Pakistan's broader foreign trade strategy to deepen economic linkages with African economies under the "Look Africa" trade drive.
By securing regulatory pathways and institutional support in Nairobi, Pakistani healthcare manufacturers are positioned to build long-term commercial partnerships and scale export volumes throughout the continent.
