The Pakistan EPS Center, led by Director Kim Ki-wook, has launched a special initiative to help Pakistani workers who returned from South Korea under the Employment Permit System (E9) claim their dormant insurance funds.

These funds, including “departure guarantee insurance” and “return cost insurance,” remain unclaimed by many workers even after the expiry of the 3-year limitation period. Known as “dormant insurance,” these amounts are still held by the corporation due to the inability to contact the rightful claimants, largely because of outdated addresses and contact information.

According to the press note, to facilitate the process, the EPS Center, in collaboration with the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), has published a list of eligible workers on the official OEC website. Returned workers are encouraged to check the list and, if eligible, submit the required documents by registered mail to the Pakistan EPS Center as per the website’s instructions.

Furthermore, those who have recently returned from Korea without applying for the mentioned insurances can directly submit their applications to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance or seek support from the Pakistan EPS Center.

The Center urges all returned E9 workers to promptly check their status and claim their rightful dues.
