U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome, held a significant meeting today with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Dar. The discussions between the two leaders focused on a wide range of critical bilateral and regional issues, underscoring the strong ties between the United States and Pakistan.
According to U.S Mission Spokesperson, Key topics of the meeting included the ongoing protection of Afghan refugees and asylum seekers in the region, enhancing economic cooperation, and strengthening joint efforts in security and counterterrorism. Both sides reiterated their commitment to fostering regional cooperation, which remains a cornerstone of their bilateral relationship.
Ambassador Blome expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to engage in dialogue with Deputy Prime Minister Dar, especially as Pakistan prepares for its upcoming term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. The discussions also touched on Pakistan’s priorities and strategies in the lead-up to the UN General Assembly.
