Tajikistan’s Charge d’Affaires Extols Friendship and Climate Action in Pakistan

Charge d’Affaires/Acting Ambassador of Tajikistan Saidjon Shafiev Ismoil has said that historical and linguistic relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan span centuries. Pakistan is my second beautiful home. Both countries are facing problems due to climate change. To reduce the negative effects of climate change, the government of Tajikistan is implementing a national strategy for adaptation to climate change for the period up to 2030.

 

He expressed these views while addressing a function organized by the Department of Arts and Media of Foundation University School of Science and Technology Islamabad.

 

In his address, Charge d’Affaires/Acting Ambassador of Tajikistan Saidjon Shafiev Ismoil thanked the administration of the university and said that the United Nations General Assembly approved five timely resolutions on water on the recommendations of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and in one of the resolutions, Is the “Glacier Preservation “ by 2025.

 

He said that Tajikistan’s global water initiatives emphasized that in the last decade, Tajikistan has drawn the attention of the international community to the world’s most important and sensitive issues.

 

At the end of the speech, Saidjon Shafiev Ismoil delivered a speech in Urdu and thanked the participants, and chanted the slogan “Long live Brotherly Relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan.”
