Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Sri Lankan High Commissioner Ravindra Chandra Srivijay Gunaratne held a significant meeting to address issues of mutual interest, including the pressing matter of Pakistani citizens imprisoned in Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, it was decided to expedite the repatriation process, ensuring that Pakistani prisoners stuck in Sri Lanka will return to Pakistan within the next seven days. Both sides committed to completing the necessary steps promptly to facilitate this repatriation.

High Commissioner Gunaratne assured Minister Naqvi of Sri Lanka’s full support in the release of Pakistani prisoners. Minister Naqvi emphasized that all measures are being finalized as quickly as possible to ensure the swift return of Pakistani citizens.
