Sri Lankan Defence Secretary and a High Level Delegation Arrives in Pakistan for Defence Dialogues

A high-level delegation from Sri Lanka, led by the Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), Secretary, Ministry of Defence accompanied by senior civil and military officers from the Ministry of Defence and the Tri-Forces, arrived in Pakistan on 27 April 2025 to conduct Defence Dialogues- 2025.

 

The visit aims to further strengthen the longstanding Defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and Pakistan through comprehensive discussions on strategic issues, military collaboration, and to explore new avenues for enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

 

 

The Sri Lankan delegation was warmly received upon arrival by senior officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Defence and Mr Christy Ruban Acting High Commissioner SLHC & Brigadier Kaminda Silva Defence Advisor.

 

This visit marks an important step in reinforcing the deep-rooted defence ties between the two countries and underscores their shared commitment to regional peace, security, and development.
