Social Democratic Party Holds Corner Meeting in Islamabad, Senior Leadership and Workers Attend

Islamabad : The Social Democratic Party (SDP) organized a significant corner meeting in Islamabad, marked by active participation from the party’s leadership and a large number of workers. The gathering aimed to discuss organizational matters, future strategies, and ways to enhance public engagement.

The meeting was presided over by SDP Chairman Abid Iqbal, and was attended by Vice Chairman Dr. Rauf Usman, President of the Think Tank Dr. Abdul Baqi, Executive Council Member Dr. Saif ur Rehman, and founding member Chaudhry Umair. Prominent female participants included Women’s Wing Coordinator Faiza Dastgir, Dr. Amna, and Shazia Khan. Youth Wing Coordinator Saima Awan also participated actively in the session.

The leadership emphasized the urgent need for an alternative ideological leadership to help the country navigate through the ongoing political and economic crises. They reiterated the party’s commitment to transparency, justice, and social welfare.

Faiza Dastgir and Saima Awan highlighted the crucial role of women and youth in building the party’s grassroots strength. Dr. Abdul Baqi and Dr. Saif ur Rehman spoke about the importance of policy development and the role of the think tank in guiding party direction.

The meeting concluded with a collective prayer, and the party leadership announced plans to expand the public outreach campaign in different areas over the coming weeks. The SDP reaffirmed its commitment to public service, development, and transparent governance.
