ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN – In a groundbreaking ruling, Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has sentenced Shahnawaz Ameer to death and imposed a fine of 1 million rupees in the Sarah Inam murder case.
The verdict, delivered in the presence of the victim’s parents and the accused’s family, highlighted the court’s determination to deliver justice.
While Samina Shah was acquitted due to insufficient evidence, the prosecution successfully established the case against Shahnawaz Ameer.
The Islamabad Police spokesperson, in response to the court’s decision, acknowledged the efforts of ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, praising the commitment to justice and expressing gratitude to the High Judiciary.
The decision is receiving widespread appreciation across Pakistan, recognizing the dedication of the ICCPO’s investigation and prosecution team.
