The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, Ambassador Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday for a Two-day official visit aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening economic ties between Rwanda and Pakistan.

Ambassador Nduhungirehe was warmly received at Islamabad International Airport by senior officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Director General (Africa), Hasnain Yousaf, along with Harerimana Fatou the Rwandan High Commissioner to Pakistan and other dignitaries.

This historic visit marks the first-ever official trip to Pakistan by a Rwandan Foreign Minister and follows the recent establishment of diplomatic missions in both capitals—Kigali and Islamabad.

In a landmark moment, Ambassador Nduhungirehe will formally inaugurate the High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Islamabad on April 22, 2025, alongside Pakistan’s Minister for Maritime Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, and other eminent dignitaries.

During his visit, the Rwandan Foreign Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with Pakistan’s top leadership to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration, particularly in the sectors of trade, investment, and development cooperation.

This visit is expected to open new doors for mutual engagement and serve as a catalyst for stronger diplomatic, commercial, and cultural ties between the two nations.
