Islamabad – Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev arrived in Islamabad to participate in the 10th Russia–Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission, marking another step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation.
As part of his visit, the Minister attended a vibrant cultural concert at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), featuring folk artists from both Russia and Pakistan. The performances highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the two nations and showcased the growing cultural connection between them.

Conveying a special message on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sergei Tsivilev extended warm greetings to the people of Pakistan. He expressed deep respect for the longstanding friendship between the two countries and voiced hope that bilateral relations would continue to strengthen with each passing year. He emphasized that cultural exchange plays a vital role in bringing nations closer and enhancing mutual understanding.

The event was also attended by members of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), who were part of the humanitarian teams that assisted in rescuing those affected by Pakistan’s devastating 2005 earthquake—a gesture remembered with gratitude.

The concert served as a symbol of goodwill and cultural harmony, highlighting the enduring partnership between Russia and Pakistan.
