The annual election of the Rawalpindi -Islamabad Photojournalists Association was held at Pindi Press Club. According to Chairman Election Commission Nasir Mir and member Aamir Lodhi, all the candidates of the “Apna Panel” won the election.
The results were as follows: Sajjad Haider was elected President, Sohail Shahzad as General Secretary, Chaudhry Jahangir as Senior Vice President, Chaudhry Javed and Mudassar Raja as Vice Presidents, Muhammad Asim as Finance Secretary, Faisal Khan as Joint Secretary, and Syed Mehdi as Information Secretary.
Members of the Governing Body included Rizwan Khan, Habib Sheikh, Raja Zafar, Hanif Khattak, Abid Zia, Sultan Bashir, and Tahir Kazmi, who were also declared successful.
A total of 87 photojournalists, including senior photojournalists Javed Nasir, BK Bangash, Mazhar Khan, Latif Adil, Agha Mehroz, and Tanveer Shahzad, participated in the election.
