The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) marked a significant milestone today with the official inauguration of its Tier 3 compliant data center. The esteemed ceremony, graced by Caretaker Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Dr. Umar Saif, unfolded at the PTA Headquarters in Islamabad.
This cutting-edge data center has been meticulously engineered to elevate efficiency and reliability, featuring a 24×7 Network Operation Center (NOC) and Security Operation Center (SOC) to ensure seamless operations and robust security measures. The establishment of this facility underscores PTA’s commitment to providing advanced and secure digital services in line with the vision for a digitally stronger Pakistan.
Caretaker Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Dr. Umar Saif, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “This strategic move aligns seamlessly with our vision for a digitally empowered Pakistan. It reflects the government’s unwavering dedication to delivering advanced and secure digital services to our citizens.”
Maj Gen (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, Chairman PTA, extended his appreciation for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved in the successful establishment of the data center. He emphasized that the facility will serve as a centralized platform, efficiently managing and provisioning a diverse range of e-services to both consumers and telecom operators.
