Goyang City, –A vibrant and dignified ceremony was held in Goyang City to mark Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, organized by the Pakistan Business Association Korea (PBAK) and the Embassy of Pakistan in Korea, with the support of the Pakistan Student Association. The event brought together a large number of Pakistani community members along with distinguished Korean guests.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Na’at in honor of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. National anthems of both Pakistan and South Korea were played, with participants rising in respect, symbolizing love and devotion for their homelands.

The Mayor of Goyang City congratulated Pakistan on its Independence Day and expressed a strong commitment to further enhancing cultural and economic ties between Pakistan and Korea.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Korea, H.E. Syed Moazzam Ali Shah, lauded the contributions of PBA and emphasized that overseas Pakistanis serve as “unofficial ambassadors” of their country, playing a vital role in strengthening bilateral relations.

Two significant MoUs were signed to promote trade and economic cooperation between Goyang Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Korea (PCCK).

The audience enjoyed patriotic songs and musical performances, with Pakistani artists Ali Abbas and Manahil Abrar delivering captivating performances.

Renowned YouTuber Mr. Alex Ki presented a documentary on Pakistan’s scenic tourism destinations and his educational initiatives, which received overwhelming appreciation.

PBA leadership, including President Raheem Shah, Chairman Muddasir Cheema, General Secretary Mian Sagheer Ahmed, and Vice President Muhammad Qasim, highlighted community unity, the significance of Pakistan’s independence, and the importance of advancing Pak-Korea relations.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer led by Allama Raza Qadri of Minhaj-ul-Quran. The Independence Day celebration successfully wrapped up under the theme “Jashn-e-Azadi – Ma’rakah-e-Haq (Battle for Truth).”
