Today, Pakistan commemorated its Pakistan Resolution Day commonly known as Pakistan Day 2024 with a grand parade in Islamabad, showcasing the nation’s military prowess and reaffirming its commitment to progress and stability. The event, held on March 23rd annually, marks the historic occasion when Muslims of the subcontinent demanded a separate nation for themselves.

 

The highlight of the day was the iconic military parade, featuring impressive displays of strength and precision by the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force. Tanks rolled through the streets of Islamabad, while fighter planes executed aerobatic maneuvers overhead, captivating spectators and dignitaries alike.

 

Guests of honor included Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud, along with contingents from China and Azerbaijan, underscoring Pakistan’s strong international relations and partnerships.

 

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and top military officials graced the occasion, emphasizing the importance of unity and resilience in the face of challenges.

 

In his address, President Zardari paid tribute to the leaders, martyrs, and heroes who sacrificed for Pakistan’s independence. He acknowledged the nation’s progress across various sectors despite enduring hardships, citing advancements in defense, agriculture, education, health, and technology.

 

Addressing the nation’s current challenges, President Zardari emphasized the need for collective action to address economic, social, and political issues, including population growth, climate change, education, and poverty. He called upon all political parties to prioritize national development over partisan interests.

 

Regarding regional issues, President Zardari condemned the Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. He also expressed solidarity with the people of Gaza, urging the international community to intervene and halt the violence against innocent civilians.

 

President Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and sovereignty, affirming readiness to respond to any aggression while maintaining constructive relations with neighboring countries.

 

The president extended gratitude to China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and other nations for their unwavering support during challenging times.
