Islamabad: An organization of overseas Pakistanis led by Barrister Shehzada Hayat, in collaboration with the Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS), organized a seminar in Islamabad to pay tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs and reaffirm solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces. The seminar also aimed to commemorate the 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, where prominent political and military figures spoke about unity, national cohesion, and safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Tribute to Pakistan’s Martyrs and Armed Forces

The seminar was attended by notable personalities, including Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Sheikh, former Air Chief Marshal (R) Sohail Aman, and senior retired officers such as Lieutenant General (R) Dr. Azhar Kiani and Vice Admiral (R) Ahmed Saeed. The event focused on honoring the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs and acknowledging the invaluable services of the armed forces.

In his address, Minister Qaiser Sheikh stated that the event reflected Pakistan’s core values of sacrifice, unity, and resilience. He praised the sacrifices made by the armed forces and emphasized their vital role in maintaining Pakistan’s sovereignty and stability. He highlighted the enduring relevance of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s principles, noting that they remain essential for Pakistan’s progress. The minister also commended overseas Pakistanis, describing them as key pillars of the national economy and ambassadors of goodwill.

Role of Air Power and Technology

Former Air Chief Marshal (R) Sohail Aman, in his speech, emphasized that air power and technology-driven capabilities have become crucial to modern national security. He noted that future conflicts will increasingly rely on cyber, electronic, and information warfare rather than traditional methods. He stressed the importance of institutional development, education, and the promotion of indigenous capabilities, urging Pakistan to prioritize its national interests and avoid involvement in others’ wars.

Contributions of Overseas Pakistanis and Veterans

Senator Lieutenant General (R) Abdul Qayyum praised the services of overseas Pakistanis, calling them Pakistan’s “ambassadors and economic lifeline.” He appreciated the efforts of Barrister Shehzada Hayat in organizing overseas Pakistanis in support of Pakistan and its armed forces. Senator Abdul Qayyum warned that Pakistan faces hybrid and non-traditional threats aimed at destabilizing state institutions, but asserted that such attempts would fail. He emphasized the need for national unity and adherence to Quaid-e-Azam’s principles.

Security Challenges and National Unity

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants reaffirmed their solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and their commitment to building a strong, united, and prosperous Pakistan in line with Quaid-e-Azam’s vision. Barrister Shehzada Hayat, President of the International Solidarity Forum, stated that air power plays a decisive role in modern warfare, and history has shown that even the strongest ground forces become ineffective without air superiority.

He emphasized that overseas Pakistanis stand united in support of Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and armed forces. Paying tribute to Pakistan’s military and veterans, he stated that millions of soldiers would be ready to serve whenever Pakistan calls upon them.

Preserving Quaid-e-Azam’s Legacy

The seminar once again highlighted national unity and resolve, reaffirming unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces. It brought together Pakistanis across the country and abroad in a collective voice committed to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity. Recognizing the role of overseas Pakistanis, the seminar reaffirmed the pledge to always prioritize Pakistan’s defense strength and national unity.
