ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — The National University of Technology (NUTECH) in Islamabad proudly announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (NEECA) of Pakistan. This strategic alliance aims to foster collaboration between academia and industry for the advancement of energy efficiency and conservation initiatives in the country.

 

The agreement outlines a framework for joint research projects, knowledge exchange programs, student’s projects related to energy efficiency and conservation, aiming to develop innovative solutions to address Pakistan’s energy challenges and collaborative initiatives to address the challenges and opportunities in the field of energy efficiency.

 

Rector NUTECH Lt Gen Moazzam Ejaz (HIM) Retired expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration “This partnership marks a significant step forward in our commitment to contribe to sustainable development and addressing pressing issues related to energy efficiency. By joining forces with NEECA, we aim to leverage our academic expertise and resources to drive impactful research and initiatives that will benefit the nation.”

 

DR. SARDAR MOHAZZAM, MANAGING DIRECTOR (NEECA) shared his thoughts on the collaboration “NEECA is pleased to collaborate with NUTECH in our shared mission to promote energy efficiency and conservation practices in Pakistan. Through this partnership, we look forward to harnessing the innovative capabilities of academia to develop solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.”

 

The collaboration will facilitate joint research projects, workshops, seminars, and training programs that bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering a holistic approach to addressing the challenges of energy efficiency and conservation.
