The National University of Technology (NUTECH) has officially inaugurated its Point of Contact (PoC) Office at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), marking a significant milestone in fostering academia-industry collaboration in Pakistan.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Dr. Syed Adnan Qasim, Registrar NUTECH, along with Atif, Director Research, and Salman, Director Industrial Collaboration. The event was graced by Zia-ul-Arfeen, Senior Vice President KCCI &iftikhar ahmed along with other distinguished members of the chamber.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Syed Adnan Qasim emphasized the significance of bridging academia and industry, stating
NUTECH is committed to providing industry-driven education and research. This new office at KCCI will serve as a vital link for businesses to collaborate with our university, enabling knowledge exchange, skill development, and technological advancements.
Iftikhar Ahmed Sheikh welcomed the initiative, highlighting the importance of academia’s role in driving industrial growth through research-based solutions. Senior vice president Zia-ul-Arfeen also expressed his enthusiasm for enhanced collaboration between KCCI members and NUTECH, stating that this initiative would contribute to skill development and workforce training, making Pakistan’s industries more competitive on a global scale, says press note.
NUTECH PoC Office will be responsible for liaising with all Industrial Sector Associations, Industrial Trade Associations of Karachi, and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI). This strategic engagement will facilitate research partnerships, internship programs, specialized training courses, and industry-academia linkages to equip professionals with modern technological skills.
This initiative reinforces NUTECH’s vision of becoming a leader in applied research and industry-relevant education, paving the way for innovative collaborations and sustainable industrial growth.
